Vermont Composites hosted Lockheed Martin representatives who awarded Vermont Composites the Lockheed Martin Corporation STAR Supplier - Facility Award. Lockheed Martin recognized Vermont Composites management and employees at the Bennington, VT facility as one of the top-performing suppliers to Lockheed Martin.
The prestigious award is made only to Lockheed Martin suppliers who distinguish themselves by meeting some of the most stringent performance criteria in the Aerospace Industry. To join this elite group of STAR Suppliers, Vermont Composites achieved 100% quality and 100% delivery for all products provided to Lockheed Martin for a minimum of 1 year. Additionally, Vermont Composites met the established criteria for Lockheed Martin's Supplier Performance Evaluation metric that evaluates quality, delivery, affordability and management / administration.
Lockheed Martin uses the Supplier Performance Evaluation metric across the Corporation to assess suppliers' performance in the three evaluation categories. Suppliers can achieve STAR recognition on three levels: 1) Distributor; 2) Production; and, 3) Subcontractor Services.
