October 09, 2009 – Vermont Composites, Inc (VCI) of Bennington, Vermont, USA is pleased to announce that David Owen has been appointed Vice President of European Sales and Business Development. David will be based in Cambridge, UK, where he will pursue sales in the Aerospace and Medical markets.
"As we are now seeing the market recovering, we are extremely fortunate to have someone with such extensive experience in the Composites Industry taking a leadership role in our organization," says VCI’s CEO Pat Wheeler. "David’s strong background in engineering, manufacturing, and of course his extensive sales experience in the composites industry, complements our capabilities and will allow us to continue to expand our business and deliver more value to our customers."
Prior to joining the company, David worked for Hexcel as Regional Sales Manager, where he focused on developing business relationships throughout the Northern European customer base. He has also worked for St. Bernard Composites, Lucas Industries and Courtaulds Aerospace, a former sister company of VCI.
