- Vermont Composites, Inc., today announced that the Company has gained Nadcap Accreditation for Composites, AC7118, Rev. A, which includes prepreg/adhesive bonding, metal bonding and core processing.
Jim Sharkey, General Manager of Vermont Composites, Inc., states, “Our Nadcap accreditation is an important milestone for Vermont Composites. Nadcap, along with our ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications, provides a significant pre-qualification status to attract and retain customers in the aerospace and defense sectors.”
Nadcap is an unprecedented cooperative industry effort to improve quality, while reducing costs, for quality assurance throughout the aerospace and defense industries. Nadcap is an industrymanaged approach to conformity assessment that brings together technical experts from both industry and government in the Nadcap organization. The Nadcap program is administered by the not-for-profit Performance Review Institute (PRI). The PRI mission is to provide international, unbiased, independent manufacturing process and product assessment and certification services for the purpose of continual improvement, adding value, reducing cost, and
facilitating relationships between primes and suppliers.
Vermont Composites, Inc. designs and fabricates advanced carbon fiber composite structures for aerospace and commercial markets.
