Garth Kenyon Appointed Vice President, Medical Program Development

Vermont Composites, Inc. (VCI) of Bennington, Vermont is pleased to announce that Garth Kenyon has been appointed Vice President, Medical Program Development.

Garth joined the Company in 1981 as Production Manager, responsible for production scheduling, inventory control and purchasing. In this capacity he supervised 25 production and operations employees. In 1989 Garth assumed the position of Medical Business Manager, responsible for all medical sales and related marketing functions. In this position, he was responsible for the growth and profitability of the medical business segment, doubling the Company’s medical business to $4.8 million in 1997.

In 1996 Garth participated in the management buyout of the Company, becoming an owner and assuming the position of Vice President, with primary responsibility for the Company’s manufacturing operations and Medical Products business. Garth’s new position is V.P. of Medical Program Development. In this role Garth provides both technical and customer relations support to Vermont Composites’ medical business development efforts. Garth received his B.A. in Physics from State University of New York, College of Arts and Sciences in Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Vermont Composites, Inc. designs and fabricates advanced carbon fiber composite structures for medical, aerospace and industrial markets. The company is ISO 9001:2001 and AS 9100 certified and services a broad range of customers. Manufacturing processes include layup, autoclave and press cure, CNC routing and machining, finishing and assembly. Support functions include design, analysis, tooling design, testing and all administrative functions.

Products include: medical imaging tables and other composites structures used in diagnostic imaging and therapeutic applications; products for the aerospace and aircraft industries including fairings, radomes, electronic enclosures, and other composite structures used in aircraft, launch vehicles, and spacecraft.
