January 6, 2009 – Vermont Composites, Inc. (VCI) of Bennington, Vermont is pleased to announce that Garth Kenyon has been appointed Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing Medical Products.
Garth has been with the company since 1981 in various operations and business management rolls. In 1996 he participated in the management buyout that formed VCI and assumed the position of Vice President. In his new roll of Senior V.P. - Sales and Marketing Medical Products, Garth is responsible for the growth and profitability of the medical business segment of VCI. Garth received his B.A. in Physics from State University of New York, College of Arts and Sciences in Plattsburgh, NY.
VCI designs and fabricates advanced composite structures for the aerospace, medical and industrial markets. The company is registered to ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 and is Nadcap accredited for composites processing. Manufacturing methods include conventional and laser guided hand layup, autoclave, oven and press curing, RTM Light molding, CNC machining, finishing, painting and assembly. Support functions include product design, analysis and testing plus tooling design and fabrication.
Products manufactured by VCI include: components for the aerospace and aircraft industries such as light weight fairings, radomes, electronic enclosures, and other composite structures used in aircraft, launch vehicles, and spacecraft. VCI makes radiolucent medical imaging tables and other composites structures used in diagnostic imaging, surgical, and therapeutic applications. Some of their imaging components are also used for security screening systems applications. In addition, they make composites components for the industrial market.
