BENNINGTON, VT April 29, 2009 – Vermont Composites, Inc. today announced that it has received a 2008 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Vermont Composites maintained a Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period from
October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2008.

Vermont Composites designs and fabricates advanced composite structures for the aerospace, medical and industrial markets. The company is registered to ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 and is Nadcap accredited for composites processing. Manufacturing methods include conventional and laser guided hand layup, autoclave, oven and press curing, RTM light molding, CNC machining, finishing, painting and assembly. Support functions include product design, analysis and testing, plus tooling design and fabrication.
Products manufactured by Vermont Composites include: components for the aerospace and aircraft industries such as lightweight fairings, radomes, electronic enclosures and other composite structures used in aircraft, launch vehicles, and spacecraft. Vermont Composites makes radiolucent medical imaging tables and other composite structures used in diagnostic imaging, surgical, and therapeutic applications. Some of their imaging components are also used for security screening system applications. In addition, they make composite components for the industrial market.
