Vermont Composites One of State’s Top 100 Employers

November 20, 2008 –Vermont Composites, Inc. (VCI) of Bennington, Vermont is pleased to announce that they have been included on the Vermont Business Magazine’s list of the TOP 100 Largest Employers in Vermont. The November 2008 edition of Vermont Business Magazine lists Vermont Composites at #100. The top three employers in Vermont are IBM with 5,400 employees, Fletcher Allen Health Care with 4,768 and the University of Vermont with 3,750.

VCI designs and fabricates advanced composite structures for the aerospace, medical and industrial markets. The company is registered to ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 and is Nadcap accredited for composites processing. Manufacturing methods include conventional and laser guided hand layup, autoclave, oven and press curing, RTM Light molding, CNC machining, finishing, painting and assembly. Support functions include product design, analysis and testing plus tooling design and fabrication.

Products manufactured by VCI include: components for the aerospace and aircraft industries such as lightweight fairings, radomes, electronic enclosures, and other composite structures used in aircraft, launch vehicles, and spacecraft. VCI makes radiolucent medical imaging tables and other composites structures used in diagnostic imaging, surgical, and therapeutic applications. Some of their imaging components are also used for security screening systems applications. In addition, they make composite components for the industrial market.
