Vermont Composites Welcomes Jim Sharkey as New General Manager

LOS ANGELES, CA   March 2, 2005 - VERMONT COMPOSITES, INC. (VCI) of Bennington, Vermont, an affiliate of the Advanced Products Corporation (APC), is pleased to announce today that Mr. Jim Sharkey has assumed responsibility for management of the company. The new General Manager has been with VERMONT COMPOSITES for eleven years where he was Engineering Manager.

As General Manager, Mr. Sharkey replaces Mr. Dan Maneely who has been with the Company for over 24 years. Mr. Maneely led the management buy-out that formed VERMONT COMPOSITES in 1996. Under his leadership as President, VCI has doubled in size and is poised for further growth. Mr. Maneely will remain active in VERMONT COMPOSITES as a member of the Board of Directors with a focus on the successful startup of the Company’s new automotive product business.

Mr. Sharkey said, “VERMONT COMPOSITES has a very bright future. We look forward to growing the company in Vermont. This is an exciting time for VCI as it gears up for production of carbon fiber Corvette Z06 fenders at its Shields Drive facility and brings the large new Performance Drive plant on line.” He continued, “We are pleased that Dan Maneely, although semi-retired, will continue to participate by helping us establish the new production facilities that will produce our automotive products.”

Dan Maneely observed, “It has been a great pleasure to watch the company grow over the past 24 years from a small, struggling composites company to one of the leading fabricators of composite structures in the world. The success of the company is a tribute to the many people who work for VERMONT COMPOSITES, INC.”

VERMONT COMPOSITES, INC. designs, develops, and fabricates advanced composite structures for commercial and aerospace markets. The Company is ISO 9001-2000 certified and services a broad range of customers. Manufacturing processes include lay-up, autoclave and press cure, CNC routing, and machining, finishing, and assembly. Support functions include, design, analysis, tooling design, testing and all administrative functions.

Products include: medical imaging tables and other composite structures used in diagnostic imaging and therapeutic applications, products for the aerospace and aircraft industries including: fairings, radomes, electronic enclosures, and other composite structures used in aircraft and launch vehicles, and spacecraft. The Company is starting up a new carbon fiber fabricated parts facility that will be completed in mid 2005.
