Driven by significant weight and performance advantages, the application of composite structures is growing exponentially in the aerospace market. Light weight and high stiffness combined with high strength make carbon fiber composites the ideal structure in today’s world of high fuel costs and environmental consciousness. Vermont Composites also makes extensive use of glass fiber composites for radomes and fairings, quartz fiber composites for radomes, and aramid fiber composites for ruggedized enclosures and aircraft interior components.
Vermont Composites has been serving the major aerospace and defense contractors for almost thirty years. In the aerospace defense market Vermont Composites has developed and fabricated products which are used for Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems, Unmanned Air Vehicles, and “Special Missions” aircraft. In the commercial market Vermont Composites manufactures secondary structures and fairings for business aircraft, and interior structures for First Class suites on Commercial Aircraft.
