The Challenge
This industry leader of complex selective frequency antennas contacted Vermont Composites to develop and manufacture an extremely close tolerance composite antenna radome. In addition to the challenges posed by the difficult design constraints, the fast-paced environment of this highly competitive field required very short lead times for their initial prototypes.
The Solution
A team of experienced engineers from Vermont Composites collaborated with the customer's engineering team and developed designs and processes which yielded successful results. If not for the experience of the Vermont Composites engineers, our attention to detail and our understanding of all aspects of composite design, tooling, testing and manufacture; these parts would not have been produced in the time frame necessary to meet the stringent requirements of our customer. In close partnership with our client, we created an Integrally-cured Selective Frequency Radome.
